This policy explains how RankerStory handles personal data for our India-focused JEE preparation product. It is aligned with themes under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and related rules. It is not a formal legal opinion — please have counsel review before relying on it for production marketing.

6. Cross-border transfers
Some processors may store or process data outside India. Where that occurs, we rely on contractual and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service relationship and applicable law.
7. Retention
We keep account and learning data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward if needed for support, security, or legal claims. Billing records and audit logs may be retained longer where required for tax, dispute, or compliance reasons. You may request erasure subject to legal exceptions (see Your rights).
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (access controls, encrypted transport, least-privilege service roles for billing writes, and similar practices). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please use a strong unique password and protect your credentials.
9. Children & students
RankerStory is aimed at JEE aspirants, many of whom are 16–19. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review this policy and consent to your use where required under the DPDP Act. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable age of consent without verifiable parental/guardian consent. Contact us if you believe we have done so in error.

Subject to applicable law (including DPDP), you may request access, correction, erasure, or withdrawal of consent (where processing is consent-based).
